Old Louisiana is a veritable well-spring of unique architecture, from the many plantations to the better known area around the French Quarter, ironically better known for its Spanish sense of style.

To me, though, it really doesn't matter, just looking at the bright colors that permeated the night with their light got me itching to start painting.

It's amazing what can get you going.
