I am always fascinated by light and the way it plays on an object.

The very way in which the late afternoon sun shone through the wrought iron balcony railing and onto to grey, spackled exterior of this German building reminded me so very much of lace.

It was an exercise of shadow and light that ended up with a very pleasing end.
